Check out this 'do.

Yes. He woke up like that.

Jack is feeling a bit better this morning. He still doesn't want to eat. He just wants to hold onto this roll. He does want to play....and spin. What is it with the spinning? It's cute (as long as it doesn't indicate some type of basic neurological malfunction.)

(This is Jack's cookie face. Shawn took this a few days ago.)

Jack's receptive vocabulary continues to grow. I'm amazed every day when I see how much he understands. It may not be that extraordinary to other people, but it doesn't seem that long ago that he was a little baby. Jack understands the words monkey, chair, basket, eat, and TV. He can sign "more" and knows what it means. This weekend, we turned off Yo Gabba Gabba and he instantly turned around and signed "more" to us. Cute. But it didn't work. Jack understands simple directions. He knows what to do if you say, "Give this to Daddy."......and FINALLY, proof that he knows the word "Mommy" and who she is. Shawn said "Where's Mommy?" and he finally pointed to me....in an exhausted way...as if to say "duh." Jack has also learned to kick his legs on command. We're working on this one for swim lessons.
