Kite Festival

We went to the Zilker Park kite festival this weekend. It was a beautiful cool day (after several days in the high 80's.) Jack thought the big super kites were cool, but he was really more interested in the endless parade of dogs people brought to the festival. We bought a kite and gave it a go. When is the last time you flew a kite? It was definitely an advanced course in kite flying. Wherever you stood there were a dozen other kites nearby so it was tricky keeping your kite from getting tangled with another. It was equally hard to keep your kite from dive bombing the people around you. We headed home when ours ended up in a tree. Our sad kite was the only one that landed in the trees. Hum.
