We're back from a good trip to Dallas. Uncle M and Aunt H graduated from Med School this week! We got to celebrate their engagement and their officially becoming Doctors. That's a lot to be proud of.
The kids did great. While getting them to sleep in the same hotel room at the same time was a total failure, they both slept like champs the rest of the night. Ivy and I joined the ladies at the bridal shop on Saturday while Jack and the rest of the family went to the Aquarium. Jack thought it was 'tooah' aka cool. He get's so exited about everything these days. It's contagious.
In other news, we're getting things set up for Jack's Birthday. I can't believe my little man is going to be three! Dad and I decided Jack could use a new bike for his birthday. We've been oogling the strider bikes for some time now. Well, the bike arrived. It was hiding in the back bathroom shower for exactly one day when Jack found it. He was ecstatic to find a cool boys bike hiding in the shower. Imagine the joy! Now imagine the disappointment when he learned it wasn't for now, that it was for his birthday. When he found the bike we weren't sure what to do. Should we just give it to him now? Or wait? Luckily the bike is in a box and he is going to wait until his birthday to open it. We put it way in a safer place (although he asks to open my truck all the time so he must somehow know it's in there). In the meantime, Jack will randomly insert into a conversation, "I have a bike!".
