Fun Weekend.

We had a really nice weekend here. Shawn didn't have to work at all this weekend which was a nice change. We love having Dad around. It was beautiful here all weekend, nice and cool and breezy. On Saturday, one of Jack's buddies had a barnyard birthday party. We woke Jack up early from his nap so he wouldn't miss the animals. He thought they were great to look at but a bit timid about touching them. If you're only 3 feet tall a baby cow could be scary. He liked the rabbits the best. He loves to say "bunny rabbit". Jack timidly rode the pony with Shawn's help. The animals were a hit, but honestly Jack thought the soccer balls and the bouncy castle were just as much fun. Jack and Ben had a great time flinging themselves around in the bouncy castle. If you haven't seen Jack lately, he is quite the jumper. Sometimes he's clearly a frog or a rabbit, but other times he hops for large portions of time for no reason. Sweet baby.

On Sunday we went to Camp Mabry . They had an "American Heroes" celebration. It seems we missed the big events like the F-16s and the search and rescue dogs. Those happened Saturday. We did get to see several Army helicopters. When he saw them, Jack took off running and screaming "heli-per!" Jack got to sit in the Black Hawk. He was pretty at ease with the controls and had to be pulled out so other kids could have a turn.
He also kept pulling his shoes off so he could look at the balls on his socks. Oy.
