Several weeks ago, we found a new teacher for our nanny-share. As Ben's mom likes to say, she is Mary Poppins. The other morning, we were getting ready for the day, waiting for Ms. S to show up. Our front door opened and we saw two giant boxes slide into the entry way. She lugged these giant boxes to my house! They were a ridiculous success. The kids painted them and Ms. S cut "window" in the boxes that are just the right height and size for a toddler to climb through. When I picked Jack up at the end of the day, the kids were running in circles...in the box....out the window...one by one like it was a giant hamster wheel. The boxes stayed at our house over the weekend and Jack spent a large amount of time playing with them. He ultimately decided to turn this box on it's side and use it to hide stuff. All weekend long he put "special" things in his box. Monday morning I had quite the collection of crap to put away....magazines, blocks, a heating pad, ribbons, a dead balloon all his treasures. Anyway, it was a lot of fun. We might have to get another box.
