Camp Out!

Jack's school hosta a bi-annual campout at a nearby State Park. We thought it was good chance to meet the other families and a chance to enjoy the slightly cooler weather. Shawn and I are not campers. We do OK, but it is not our preferred night away. We borrowed a tent and packed up. We spent the afternoon running around the campsite and playing in the river. Jack and his best new friend had a ball in the tent. With the air mattress, it was hard to convince them the tent was not a bouncy house. Ivy and I headed home around dusk. Jack and Shawn stayed for the potluck dinner, campfire songs and marshmallow roasting. A good time was had by all...but the verdict is we'll plan to come for the day next time.
