Updates

The votes are in and it appears people want to see more of Jack. Our buddy Ben came over to play for a while this morning. The boys had a great time. Well, Ben had a great time. Jack didn't understand why Ben had to play with "his" toys. Physical games like crawling through the tunnel, throwing the ball, playing chase and dancing on the coffee table were great fun. Play focused on one object or toy was more difficult. You can see Jack "sharing". We'll have to work on that. Some days are better than others. They did figure out on their own how to share the lion. Ben rode, Jack pushed. Then Jack rode and Ben tried to push. Did I mention that Jack is surprisingly heavy?






In other news, Jack has picked up several new signs. He learns and uses them quickly. He signs "change" when we change his diaper and this morning he handed me a banana and signed "eat" "please". Really. He put the two signs together on his own. I was impressed. He talks all.day.long but we still don't understand most of it. We get "mama" "dada", "up", "eat" (which sounds like mm.), "ball", "dog", "cat", "boat" and "what's that". It's takes a fine tuned ear to hear those but he is saying them. He has also started yelling at 5:30 am. Not bad yelling. Not crying, just exclaiming. I don't know what he's doing in there but I wish he would do it one hour later. His morning routine hasn't switched to Daylight Savings yet.
